Server Destruction

Okay for the good of everyone who was offline at the time, (warrio, zander, henson, and other important players) the server was obliterated by hackers. Someone got in as CraftUrToe and gave out Op to everyone and they starting just destroying the server. CmptrGmr, one of the people that got Op, decided to not kill the server and used /stop to stop the server. Also, I think spawn is coated in lava and one of those fuckers tried to ban me (CmptrGmr un-banned me and Opped me so I couldn't get banned again).

Holy fuck, thank god CmptrGmr stopped the server. If I was online and one of those stupid assholes opped me, I would have ip banned every single one of those hackers. Anyways, will the server be alright? :/

The server doesn't allow an Op to ban another Op because that would just make catastrophes on all servers. Also CmptrGmr did manage to stop the server before too much was done so i think it'll be able to be repaired soon once the hackers are gone. What I'd advise is trying to keep the server off for around a week or more just to let things just cool down because if we just have the server up tomorrow they're going to be back. If we wait a while but still be in contact with each other, we can decide to put up the server after things seem to simmer down and go back to normal.

Hm okay :/ Guess ill go back to moderating the other server that I like to go on lol.
Also instead of keeping it offline for awhile, why not just assign the server a new ip adress?

They still have Craft's network IP and all of our IPs so just changing the server IP wouldn't accomplish much.

we could give someone else to host of server for a while and give only a small few the ip and if we get hacked again.. well we got a problem but we narrowed the list down... i could host if trusted but it's up to the community i would just like to play!

They're most likely members on the forum and can see these posts. They wont back down after a week, they are trolls and will continue to screw the server over. Surely Craft has backups and will be able to go back a day or a few hours or something to repair what was done.

Is there any possible way to stop this thing? Damn haters really hate. I really like this server a lot and it would be a great loss if it'd stop...

I was opped and i didnt even want to because i know that they would think i was part of the hackers but, i got off right away and its horrible i cant believe noobyowns actually did that....

after 10 minutes of arguing nooby went afk.. he was talking to his hacker friend of whom he gave the ip to and then the guy joined the server a few times and somehow managed to hack Craft and you know the rest of the story from there. nooby "got his revenge" by breaking of of haz' chests and stealing the items thinking it would accomplish anything... I'm 100% sure Craft has a backup plugin so all is well.

It almost seems like he used some sort of password cracker.
I know that most login plugins make you disconnect after a certain number of incorrect passwords put in to login, which probably explains him joining and leaving several times..

I have a clan that plays minecraft and runescape. We usually come in peace, but your trusted idiot friend hazmath, kicked me on a fucking stupid reason so I did this. I wasn't the main hacker, and the main hackers name shall not be revealed, and I was the first op to do it, and It was funny as fuck.

Thank god CmptrGmr stopped it, however, even with the server being stopped, it got hit hard. Lets just hope theres a backup of the worlds.

I don't see why you'd play runescape the game's completely ruined i remember back 4 years ago the beginning of 4th grade I started... I saw all the crap updates i remember before PvP worlds I played in bounty hunter craters, which were way better than the crap that piece of shit game has now. They should have stayed original and not have updated that much shit into the game.
I just hope they don't do that to minecraft where updates start going downhill... but runescape is so bad it's not worth playing all they do is add more purchasable features nothing for the reg players...

I didn't mean to let everyone be vip-op, that was his idea, I was deranking. I was doing things atm and let abrother play.

If this is actually the only reason he did it, that's just pathetic. He should have just hacked the shit out of all of hazmaths online accounts etc. rather than wreck it for the rest of us.
